Lisa Kent
PERSONAL TRAINER
Having worked in the City for the last decade, I am well aware of the impact that long hours, a stressful job and constant deadlines can have on your body and mind. I know first hand how hard it can be to find the time for exercise, especially without the support of a personal trainer who can make sure that your precious time is focussed on achieving exactly the results that you want.
I am an experienced kickboxing instructor – and incorporate boxing and kickboxing into many of my workouts. Learning to kickbox is a great way to get into shape. It’s fun, it burns fat quickly and will improve your fitness in next to no time. All that punching and kicking gives you great tone to your arms and legs – and works your abs hard without a single sit up! It’s also a fantastic way of letting go of any stress that you have.
Session description:
I am passionate about working with my clients to help them achieve the fit, healthy body that has often eluded them until now. It’s all about being the best that you can be, not about some unachievable magazine definition of what we all “should” look like. I do not shout or bully clients into performing – I’m not that type of personal trainer, but don’t let that fool you into believing that you can slack off on my watch! I work with clients, building a relationship that means that I know and understand exactly how far you can push yourself, and at what point you will need me to push you that little bit further. I strongly believe in working together as a team to achieve your goals.
I bring all equipment with me. Whether we are doing a home workout, or training outdoors I have varied equipment that I use. It may include kit such as boxing pads and gloves, medicine balls, hand-weights, skipping ropes and ladders. If we are working out at home we don’t need a large space in your house, just a clear area that we can use. Outdoors we also use our environment, so park benches on Hampstead Heath, steps on Highbury Fields, trees in Highgate Woods and the hill on Primrose Hill are often pushed into service during our outdoor workouts. Your workouts are always varied and fun, time flies past as you work up a sweat and increase your endorphins, those happy, feel good hormones that create positive energy, a skip in your step and put a smile on your face.
