I was first introduced to Chiropractic as a teenager, following injuries from playing Youth Rugby. Although I’m too old to play rugby these days (!) I find that I still benefit greatly from regular chiropractic care.
I developed a keen interest in sport injuries and rehabilitation, especially in the retraining of the nervous system through specific exercises to improve spinal function. I regularly further my professional and clinical knowledge, learning the latest ideas and techniques from some of the worlds leading researchers and clinicians in this field.
Session description:
Initially you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and also a pre-treatment pain questionnaire for research purposes. Following this the next stop is the consultation room.
I will spend some time with you, making sure you understand how and why we do things, and will want to talk about your current health issues and what I can do to help you. I encourage you to ask as many questions as you like!
The initial consultation will consist of us taking a medical history and carrying out a postural assessment and spinal, orthopaedic and neurological assessments. The tests are painless and non-invasive. In some cases we may take x-rays.

My goal as a trainer is to provide a balanced approach to your fitness routine in a safe and supportive environment in which you will learn proper lifting technique. I believe that your workouts should not inhibit your daily lives, rather they should be enhanced by it; therefore I strive to educate my clients on how to keep their bodies safe while working out as well as in daily activities; thereby decreasing the risk for pain and injury.
I believe in the body’s ability to heal itself provided the right conditions – my goal is to help you create these conditions within your workout to tap into your body’s inherent ability to heal itself leading to an improved quality of life.

Everyone is different. This is why a personal trainer takes your individual requirements into consideration and creates a training environment that corresponds directly to your expectations. I am here to give you helpful advice and help you achieve exactly what you want.
The classic training programme. You are the client and I am your trainer. We can jog through the parks together or work out on the machines. In this type of training situation, I don’t see myself as the drill sergeant but as a motivational partner who supports you in your goals. You run 5 miles, I run 5 miles. That’s how easy it is. We want to achieve your goal together, and that is enough motivation for me to work just as hard as you do.
