Nina Anderson
RUNNING COACH
My running efforts began at the age of 25 as a means to lose weight and improve fitness. In 1997 I slowly jogged my way through my first marathon and when the man in the rhino suit ran past her I felt it might be pertinent to try more focused and structured training for my next race! My times steadily improved culminating in a marathon personal best of 3:28:27. At the age of 29 I first stepped on to the track and discovered that I was more suited to running both 1 and 2 laps than a marathon. I now specialise in both the 400m and 800m and is coached by Greg Richards. At the age of 35 (2007) I became eligible to compete as a Master (or Veteran) and since that time have focused my efforts and seasons on securing medals at the World Masters and European Veterans Championships.
Session description:
As a running coach I devise goal-orientated weekly running programmes. As these are designed specifically around individual goals, fitness levels and lifestyles I am able to accommodate both a wide age range and athletic capability. Whether you want to train for your first 5k race and have little or no running experience or are already an experienced runner who wishes to improve personal best times then I can help.
