Good health and fitness are my passion. Throughout my life I have continued to maintain a strong, toned physique and kept weight gain to a minimum my creating numerous fitness programmes online. I am at a stage now where I wish to reach more women by providing an excellent personal fitness service accessible online.
I will be 50 this year and after eight years in the fitness industry, I still feel passionate about what I do and what an honour it is to enable women to change their lives! Physical fitness programmes are, in my opinion, the number one anti-ageing remedy and I thoroughly recommend them!
I follow the nutritional protocol known as ‘Flexible Dieting’ or ‘IIFYM’, (if it fits your macros, your macros being protein, fat and carbs). As long as I eat at least 80% whole foods on a daily basis, the remaining food choices can be from what is perceived to be a less healthy option, e.g. chocolate, a glass of wine etc etc. As my moto is ‘because one size doesn’t fit all’, this diet may not suit everyone and some of you may prefer to adopt a ‘cleaner’ way of eating including a cheat day instead.
Of course it is important to be aware that your diet and exercise regime will be subject to change during different stages of your life. If you are pre-natal or post-natal for example, it will be necessary to avoid certain foods but there are also foods to enhance nutrition at these particular times. Later on in life when your hormones are raging at the onset and throughout the menopause, there are supplements that can reduce the impact this may have on your daily routine and ways to enhance fat loss. The difference this can have on how you are able to cope with the peri-menopause and the menopause should not be understimated.
