I have qualified in and practised Sports Massage Therapy in both the UK and Russia. In my native Russia, I studied massage at the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism under the world famous Anatoly Biryukov, learning the Russian Olympic System of Sports Massage.
In London, I graduated from Essentials for Health School of Massage, gaining a BTEC 5 in Sports Massage and Treatments. I have worked with the Russian Cycling Federation for the National Olympic team travelling around the world at cycling championships and at the Olympics in London 2012. In the UK I have worked with London Welsh RFC and the London and Brighton Marathons, preparing athletes pre-event and helping them recover post-event.
I have set up my practice in the peaceful surroundings of Ham Common in Richmond Upon Thames, next to Richmond Park and the Thames riverside.
Whether you are a professional sportsperson with an acute injury or someone with a history of chronic pain, a tailored course of massage treatment at Richmond Bodywork will benefit a range of conditions.
Sports Massage involves a series of individualised soft tissue treatments to help each athlete achieve his or her personal performance goals by relieving muscle pain and stiffness, speeding up recovery after training sessions or competitions, and increasing energy and stamina.
